Release of 2023 Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Examination Results

1. Candidates who sat for the 2023 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) Examination collected their results from their secondary schools today1.

2. A total of 23,503 candidates sat for the 2023 GCE O-Level Examination. 23,462 (99.8%) of these candidates have achieved Grade C6 or better in at least one O-Level subject. 22,732 (96.7%) and 20,389 (86.8%) of the candidates have achieved Grade C6 or better in at least 3 or more and 5 or more O-Level subjects respectively. This is comparable to the performance of candidates for the GCE O-Level Examination in previous years.

Joint Admissions Exercise
Students who wish to apply for admission to junior colleges (JCs), Millennia Institute (MI), polytechnics, and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may do so via the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) using their O-Level examination results. The JAE application period is from 4pm on Thursday, 11 January 2024, to 4pm on Tuesday, 16 January 2024.

4. Eligible school and private candidates will receive a digital copy of Form A1 via their registered email addresses from 2pm on Thursday, 11 January 2024. All candidates eligible for JAE may also download a copy of the Form A from the JAE-Internet System (JAE-IS) during the application period.

5. The JAE-IS will be accessible from 4pm on Thursday, 11 January 2024, to 4pm on Tuesday, 16 January 2024 for students to submit their course choices through the JAE website at Applicants are strongly encouraged to use the JAE worksheet ( before submitting their online application. Education and Career Guidance (ECG) support

6. Students who would like guidance on their education pathways can approach their teachers or ECG Counsellors supporting their schools. Students can also refer to the following websites to find out more about the range of education and career pathways available to them:

7. Besides their schools, students can also make an ECG counselling appointment at The MOE ECG Centre offers online or phone counselling services to GCE O-Level candidates from Thursday, 4 January 2024 to Thursday 18 January 2024 (Weekdays: 9.00am to 5.00pm; Saturdays: 9.00am to 12.00pm).
