The Singapore International Primary School Examination (iPSLE) is the international version of Singapore's Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). The iPSLE was introduced with the aim of allowing overseas schools to benchmark their examination standards against the PSLE’s standard. There is no maximum age limit for candidates taking the iPSLE.

Examination Subjects, Syllabus and Timetable

SEAB has made available for the iPSLE the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Chinese Language
  • Malay Language
  • Tamil Language

Candidates can sit for a maximum of 4 iPSLE subjects, inclusive of English Language, Mathematics, Science, and one Mother Tongue Language.

The format, standards and testing requirements of the iPSLE are similar to the Singapore PSLE.

Registration

The iPSLE is currently offered at 16 appointed examination centres in 6 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam).

If you are studying in an overseas school, and are not sitting the Singapore PSLE, you will be able to register for the iPSLE examination with the following appointed overseas iPSLE centres:

  2. Singapore National Academy, Surabaya, a member of Piaget Academy
  3. Singapore International School of Bangkok, Bangkok
  4. St. Gabriel's College, Bangkok
  5. MCTA: RVi Academy Mandalay
  6. Singapore International School: RVi Academy Yangon
  7. Singapore International School @ Saigon South, a member of KinderWorld Group
  8. UniWorld International School, Johor, Malaysia
  9. Singapore International School @ Da Nang, a member of KinderWorld Group
  10. Thai-Singapore International School, Samut Prakan
  11. Singapore International School @ Gamuda Gardens, a member of KinderWorld Group
  12. SD SPK Sampoerna Academy
  13. Siam Singapore International School: RVi Academy Bangkok
  14. Assumption Samutprakarn School, Samut Prakan

Please note that if you are found to have registered for both the Singapore PSLE and the iPSLE in the same examination year, you will only be allowed to sit the Singapore PSLE. Your application to sit the iPSLE will be rejected and there will be no refund of any fees that have been paid.

If you are found to have sat both the PSLE and iPSLE in the same examination year, the results of your iPSLE will be nullified and no appeal will be accepted.


Release of Examination Results

The examination results are usually released in November of the examination year and the results will be reported in the form of the following subject grades: A*, A, B, C, D, E.
