SEAB Hosts Engaging Dialogues with EducatorsOn 4 March 2025, 21 April 2025 and 24 April 2025, SEAB hosted engagement sessions for teacher-participants from NIE’s Teacher Leaders Programme (TLP) and Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS) Programme as well as the Academy of Singapore Teacher’s Teacher Work Attachment Plus (TWA+). For the TWA+, it was a collaboration between SEAB and Academy of Singapore Teachers for the first time. The sessions featured insightful presentations on "Making Assessment Relevant, Engaging and Authentic". Following interactive Heritage Gallery tours and breakout discussions, the educators engaged in candid yet insightful conversations with our management panels. ![]() ![]() ![]() The engagement sessions sparked meaningful discussions on pertinent topics that concerned educators, including the evolution of assessment in technology-enhanced learning environments, thoughts about onscreen marking and the future of e-Examinations. The diverse representation of educators - from primary to junior college levels - enriched the conversations with varied perspectives and experiences. These sessions reflect SEAB's ongoing dedication to maintaining open dialogue with our education partners and ensuring our assessment approaches remain progressive and relevant in an evolving educational landscape. Exploring Collaborative Futures: Civil Service College’s Institute of Leadership and Organisational Development (ILOD) Visits SEAB![]() On 14 April 2025, SEAB hosted a delegation from the Civil Service College's Institute of Leadership and Organisational Development (ILOD). ILOD, which supports the Public Service Commission and Public Service Division in leadership assessment, showed particular interest in SEAB's digital transformation journey. The delegation sought insights into streamlining written assessments, enhancing assessment standardisation, and leveraging technology for evaluating written submissions. During the visit, SEAB shared its experience with onscreen marking systems, demonstrating how digital solutions have improved efficiency and consistency in assessment processes. The ILOD team also toured SEAB's facilities such as the strongroom and digitisation room to understand the workflow of digital assessment operations. ![]() The visit sparked meaningful discussions about the future of assessment technology, including emerging innovations such as computer adaptive testing and the potential role of artificial intelligence in assessments.
