Assessment for Learning (AfL) Tools
SEAB has developed Assessment for Learning (AfL) tools to support primary school students’ learning in Mathematics and English Language. The tools aim to diagnose students’ learning gaps and provide teachers with qualitative feedback on their students' performance. The questions are designed by SEAB and are aligned to MOE’s curriculum learning outcomes:
-
MathsCheckPlus (Grade-level Mathematics assessment for P2 and P4 students)
-
CATalytics (Topical Mathematics assessments for P5 and P6 students)
-
Read2LearnEL (English Reading Comprehension assessment for P5 students)
Participating schools will receive comprehensive reports containing analytics and performance data. The data helps teachers to:
1. identify specific students requiring additional support
2. determine precise learning gaps in students' understanding
3. develop targeted intervention programmes
4. refine and improve lesson design based on data-driven insights.
