About SPERS-Sec

The School Placement Exercise for Returning Singaporeans-Secondary (SPERS-Sec) is a centralised merit-based placement exercise conducted for Returning Singaporeans (RS) who wish to join a secondary school at Secondary 1, 2 or 3 at the beginning of the next academic year.

It is not compulsory and does not guarantee admission to the school of choice. It is intended for those who prefer the convenience of a centralised placement exercise.

MOE has commissioned SEAB to conduct the registration and test administration of this exercise.

In view of the COVID-19 situation, the conduct of the SPERS-Sec and Supplementary Placement Exercise will be aligned to the national safe management measures leading up to and during the actual test dates. All applicants are required to comply with prevailing guidelines as announced by the Ministry of Health prior to the test date to ensure the safety of all applicants and examiners. Applicants will be updated should there be any changes or cancellation of these exercises.
