RESEARCH OFFICER, ASSESSMENT RESEARCH – 2-YEAR CONTRACT
RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful applicant will play an active role in conducting research on educational measurement and assessment issues, as well as in developing assessment services and products that are transforming for stakeholders. The key responsibilities include:  

  • Conduct research studies which focus on harnessing technology to assess complex competencies for 21st Century education 
  • Apply statistical techniques to support assessment-related analysis
  • Provide project management and consultancy services for assessment projects
  • Develop assessment services and products that are fit for purpose, educationally sound and positively transforming for stakeholders 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Trained in Mathematics and/or statistics-related field
  • Experience in the education sector will be an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of statistical analysis software (e.g. STATA, SAS, RUMM2020, R-Programming)
  • Experience in the use of coding applications (such as Visual Studio) with C/C#/C++, Visual Basic or Java Programming, will be useful
  • Adaptable, meticulous individual with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in an applied and practical manner to obtain buy-in from stakeholder groups
  • Enjoy working in teams, in a dynamic and creative work environment
​ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER, QUESTION PAPER & EXAM RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (QPERM) – 2-YEAR CONTRACT
RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful applicant will plan, manage, and deploy resources for the production and distribution of the question papers (QPs) and examination scripts; and post examination operations to support receiving, marking and result release.​ The key responsibilities include:  

(1) Manage the QP processes for both national and non-national examinations

  • Oversee QP proofing process and manage critical production timelines
  • Ensure schedules are met and datafiles are accurate
  • Manage QP workflow in iEXAMS2 System
  • Manage QP Checking process and QP Erratum printing process
  • Manage Confidential Printing (both outsourced and in-house)
  • Manage production and distribution of modified QP
  • Manage logistics related to QP packing and distribution
  • Manage post-exam QP publications and archival

(2) Plan and execute the Mid-Year examinations receiving

(3) Manage the Script Accounting process

  • Plan and configure boxing and labeling for national examination scripts
  • Plan and deploy resources for script accounting operations
  • ​Recruitment, nomination and claim processing of outsourced personnel (Temporary Staff, HQ Admin Support and Secured contractor)

(4) Manage the result release for national examinations

(5) Manage the PSLE Marking Exercise

  • ​Assist in the appointment of the PSLE Marking Centres, Marking Centre Supervisor and Assistants as well as manage the logistic requirements ​

(6) Manage the application for new Calculator and Dictionary for use in national examinations

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least two years of working experience in administrative and/or operations-related work
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Possess an innovative mindset and a positive working attitude
  • Possess a high degree of integrity
  • Able to multi-task effectively, and is result-driven and meticulous
  • Able to work effectively with and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Able to work with a team effectively to achieve targets
  • Possess good communications and writing skills
  • Possess good knowledge in IT applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
