Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS) - Primary (for ages 7 to 12+ years)

KEY ACTIVITIES AND MILESTONES

S-AEIS is for international students seeking admission to Primary 2 to 4 and Secondary 1 to 2 in the same academic year. It is usually held in February of each year.

  • Apply for S-AEIS-Primary
  • Check eligibility

  • Important Notes:
    1. The applicant must take the relevant Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test run by Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) and meet or exceed the required scores before they register for the S-AEIS-Primary Mathematics test appropriate for their age. CEQ must be taken within 12 months before the month the applicant registers for S-AEIS.

    2. Unsuccessful AEIS applicants seeking admission to Primary 5 the previous year may only reapply to take S-AEIS at Primary 4. They may submit their CES scores from their B1 Preliminary for Schools test taken within 12 months before the submission date of their S-AEIS Primary online application.

  • How to apply
    - If your child has taken the AEIS or S-AEIS and was offered a school place, he/she will not be able to apply online again.

    Check application status in Candidates Portal
  • Refer to the Remarks column in the Candidates Portal for updates on your application status. Useful information to prepare for the test can be retrieved from ‘Getting Ready for Exams’ found on Candidates Portal.
  • Note: It will take about 4 weeks for the applications to be approved from the date of application. Status of approved applications will be updated from “Pending” to “Registered”. 

  • Receive an email to retrieve entry proof from Candidates Portal, if application has been approved


    S-AEIS Tests (Primary Levels)

  • Applicants will sit for the Mathematics test
  • Test details

    Reminders:
  • Arrive at least 45 minutes before the test.
  • Instructions will be given 15 minutes before the test begins.
  • Bring along a copy of your passport data page and entry proof.



  • Release of School Offers

  • There will be no release of test results.
  • Please refer to this page on how you can check the release of school offers.
  • Once you have received the outcome, you may report to the offered school.

  • If your child is seeking admission to secondary schools, you can choose to apply for the Sec 1 or Sec 2 test.
  • How to apply
    - If your child has taken the AEIS or S-AEIS and was offered a school place, he/she will not be able to apply online again.







  • Check application status in Candidates Portal
