- The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination is conducted in Singapore annually.
- The Ministry of Education, Singapore and the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) are the joint examining authorities for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level examination.
- Candidates' applications to sit the examination are accepted on the condition that they adhere to all the regulations governing the examination as spelt out in the Instructions Booklet. School candidates will receive a copy of the Instructions Booklet 'Instructions for School Candidates taking Singapore-Cambridge GCE N(T), N(A), and/or O-Level Examinations' from their respective schools. Private candidates should refer to the online version of the Instructions Booklet 'Instructions for Private Candidates taking Singapore-Cambridge GCE N(T), N(A), O and/or A-Level Examinations'.
- Mother Tongue B is not an AO, A, H1 or H2-Level subject. Performance in the Chinese B (8281) / Malay B (8381) / Tamil B (8481) is indicated as Merit, Pass or Ungraded. Candidates who pass the Mother Tongue B will be deemed to have met the Mother Tongue requirement for admission to University. However, no consideration will be given in the computation of university admission score.
